Research Overview

MICS group focuses on the design of high-performance mixed-signal VLSI systems optimized for multiple objectives in diverse applications. Today's integrated circuit (IC) design requires a highly-skilled art, finding the right balance between various competing objectives such as speed, power, noise, area, yield/variability, and cost. We believe that the systems with tightly coupled analog and digital components can bring the best of both worlds albeit their difficulty in design and verification. Therefore, we aim to demonstrate optimal system designs in key emerging applications as well as developing productive methodologies to design and verifiy mixed-signal circuits.
